Ultimate Goal 2020/2021

Minnesota State Championship (April 10th)

  • 1st place robot

    • Score of 1840, over 340 points higher than 2nd place!

  • Control Award

    • Judges said "The control award is not just about writing code. Collaboration in design and documentation is what this team showed. When it came to match performance this team was flying high"

  • Nominated for the Motivate

    • The Motivate ​award is granted to to the team that promotes FIRST and it's programs while recruiting for all types of STEM

  • Our Coach, Joel Jaros, won the "Community Volunteer Award"

    • High Tech Kids said "This next Award Winner has been a champion of FIRST Tech Challenge 
      and FIRST LEGO League Challenge in their community of the Duluth area. He is always willing to land a hand and this year did not hesitate in volunteering to host one of “Cohorts”. For the many events he has hosted to the many teams he has mentored. "​

Remote Qualifier #7 (March 6th)

  • Innovate Award

    • Judges said "Tradeoffs of form and function can be hard to gauge,  Loading rings with fast cycle times helped this robot set the stage, This unique take on a hopper kept this team flying high."​

  • Inspire Award 2nd Place​
    • The Inspire Award is given ​to the best overall team.
  • 3rd place Robot​​

  • Nominated for the Stratasys Award

    • This Award​ is given to the team that who best utilized 3D printing.

Remote Qualifier #2 (Feburary 6th)

  • 1st place Robot​​

  • Design Award

    • Judges said This team sent rings soaring. Their elegant intake design kept the robot front facing. Designed, sectioned, printed, and then assembled together, they were ready to prove themselves on the 
      field. They were virtually ready to take to the skies.​

    • The Inspire Award is given ​to the best overall team.

    • The Think Award is given to the team with the best Engineering Notebook​.

  • The Inspire 2nd Place

    • The Inspire Award is given to the team that is the best in all categories.

    • The ​Control Award is granted to the team that uses sensors and uses algorithms to enhance their robot.
